South Gulf Cove Community Plan Advisory Committee

The SGC Advisory Committee was established in 2003 by the Board of County Commissioners with the adoption of Resolution Number 2003-072. This committee's purpose is to address environmental issues, transportation problems, housing density, schools, and parks; to create opportunities for well-sited commerce; to reduce urban sprawl; and to promote sustainable growth and development.

This committee is currently inactive. Archived minutes can be obtained by calling 941.764.4920.

The South Gulf Cove (SGC) Advisory Committee meets as needed and at various locations and times as advertised. Contact Roxann Read for more information 941.764.4928.

The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the committee's activities on May 13, 2008 and approved Resolution 2008-046, a five-year term extension of the committee's existence. During the July 23, 2013 Board of County Commissioners's meeting, the South Gulf Cove Advisory Committee recommended to the Board to sunset the Advisory Committee.
