Community Scorecard

In an effort to better coordinate services and balance the provision of services with spending, the Charlotte County Board of Commissioners developed a set of Strategic Focus Areas that are used to set direction for each Budget Process. These Strategic Focus Areas are reflected in this diagram as a launching point to a community scorecard. The purpose of this community scorecard is to measure our progress toward those broad goals established by the Board.

To see more detail on any of the focus areas below, simply click on that box. The data used in the scorecard comes from a variety of sources. In 2018, 2016, 2014, 2012, 2010 and 2007 the County conducted a citizen survey that enables us to measure satisfaction levels. This enables us to gauge progress over the last several years and benchmark ourselves against other local governments in Florida and nationwide. We also conducted employee surveys in 2016, 2014, 2012 and 2010. This survey gives us the capacity to measure ourselves against other organizations as well as our own progress over the last two years.

On these scorecard pages, we have provided graphic representations of specific metrics for each of the focus areas. Wherever possible this information is benchmarked against other communities or the State of Florida.
