Project Description
This project consists of engineering, permitting, and construction management services for dredging of the Buena Vista Waterway system access and connector channels.
Project Location
The project is generally located along the northern bank of the Peace River west of Tamiami Trail. It includes dredging part of the Sunrise Waterway (located to the west of the Charlotte County Beach Park), parts of the George Road Waterway and the Gardner Drive Waterway.

Latest Updates
Update on August 23, 2024: Kelly Brothers, Inc., the contractor has been further delayed due to unforeseen issues on another project. They tentatively plan to start work on or about September 3, 2024. They will dredge the Sunrise Waterway, first. The beach replenishment project at the Charlotte County Beach Park will use sand from this waterway. Kelly Brothers, Inc., will then proceed over to the George Road Waterway and then to the Gardner Road Waterway.Budget
