Bayshore Live Oak Park was built on 10.38 acres in 2007. The park was funded by 1998 Sales Tax, 2002 Sales Tax, Parks and Rec Impact Fees, the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program Grant, the Florida Communities Trust Grant and the Land Water Conservation Fund Grant.
Bayshore Live Oak Park is the focal point of the Charlotte Harbor Historic District. Located along Charlotte Harbor, this dog friendly linear park provides beautiful vistas of the harbor and majestic sunsets. Historical nodes mounted on kiosks throughout the park describe important periods of the area. Bayshore Live Oak Park features a new playground, community open space, restroom facilities, piers, canoe/kayak launch, pedestrian promenades, and two pavilions – one with a fireplace. The park is ideal for weddings, picnics, recreational activities, and private or community functions.
