Contact the Industrial Pretreatment Department to confirm your business is complying with all appropriate regulations, especially if your business has:
- Discharge to the wastewater system from a heating or cooling system
- Usage, storage, or generation of hazardous or toxic materials
- Discharge to the wastewater system other than restrooms, showers, eye washes, hand-washing sinks, kitchen sinks, or dishwashers
- Presence of floor drains or other spill pathways to the wastewater system
- A discharge containing fats, oils and grease (FOG) in excess of 100 mg/l
- Discharge of wastewater with a high temperature
- Discharge containing heavy metals, such as - Cadmium, Copper, Arsenic, Chromium, Cyanide, Lead, Molybdenum, Nickel, Silver, Zinc, Mercury, or Selenium
- Discharge high in Total Suspended Solids or B.O.D. (organic loading)
- Discharge of flammable or explosive substances
