Disaster Recovery Site - Maracaibo Kidspace Park

The concession and park buildings sustained roof, gutter, soffit, and interior damages. Fencing components and gates were damaged, along with a dumpster enclosure, baseball dugout shades, backstops, and bleachers. Exterior wall repairs and repainting are also needed.

Disaster Recovery Site - Mid County Regional Library

Roof leaks caused severe water damage to the library’s interior, requiring immediate content removal. Mitigation included drying, temporary roofing, and partial demolition. Additional damage includes 37 missing/damaged landscape lights and damaged sections of fencing. Ongoing stabilization and cleanup are needed.

Disaster Recovery Site - Oyster Creek Environmental Park

Extensive damage occurred to multiple boardwalks (totaling over 9,600 sq. ft.) and a 4,500 sq. ft. fishing pier, affecting decks, supports, and safety features. Fencing damage includes 4,400 linear feet and 52 posts. Additional impacts include damaged bollards and 10 trash/recycling containers.

Disaster Recovery Site - Placida Fishing Pier

Storm surges caused severe erosion and structural damage along the Railroad Line, including exposed mangrove roots, a washed-out fishing pier needing full replacement, and damaged support poles, handrails, and gates. Additional impacts include a 100 linear feet access trail, displaced electrical poles, damaged signage, lighting, monofilament bins, trash/recycling containers, and a boardwalk handrail. Riprap and fill are needed for shoreline stabilization.

Hillsborough Boulevard Water Main Project

This project will install an eight-inch water main along Hillsborough Boulevard from Yorkshire Street to U.S. 41. The water main will be installed parallel to the Peace River Manasota Water Authority’s 42-inch Phase 2B Pipeline.
