Charlotte County has opened a debris drop-off site at Eldred’s Marina, 6301 Boca Grande Causeway, as of Oct. 10.
Two Drop-off Sites Open for Flood-Deposited Sand

Two sand drop-off sites are open at the north end of the parking area in Englewood Beach at Chadwick Park, 2100 N. Beach Road in Englewood, and at 1 N. Gulf Blvd. on Don Pedro Knight Islands. The sand drop-off sites will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

All Charlotte County Community Services facilities are closed until further notice. This includes all parks, recreation centers, pools, libraries, playgrounds, and park amenities.

Charlotte County has an online Self-Reporting Storm Damage system to help us collect damage assessments. Visit www.tinyurl.com/reportingdamage, enter your address, select the type of damage and add a photo. If possible, include high water marks when reporting damage.

Beach Road Closed at S.R. 776, N. Beach Road Closed at County Line

Beach Road in Englewood is closed at State Road 776 and N. Beach Road is closed at the Charlotte-Sarasota county line due to impacts from Hurricane Milton. Charlotte County urges motorists not to drive on North Beach Road and Gulf Boulevard on Manasota Key.

Charlotte County Utilities Urges Customers to Limit Water Usage

The Charlotte County Utilities Department urges customers to limit water usage. Numerous wastewater lift stations within the county are without power.
Low pressure sewer customers must also limit water usage during the power outage. In a power outage, low pressure sewer pumps will not function. The home's wastewater will remain onsite within the interceptor tank and cannot enter the central sewer system. The onsite tank has a reserve capacity for limited water use during the outage.
Currently, there are no boil water notices in effect. Our water systems are operational.
