(April 17, 2026) – Charlotte County Economic Development, in partnership with local chambers and regional organizations, will host a free Business Hurricane Season Preparedness Webinar at noon on May 6 to help local businesses prepare for, respond to, and recover from severe weather events. The virtual session will be held via Microsoft Teams and is open to businesses across the region.

Charlotte County is seeking public input to help shape its first-ever 2026–2030 Consolidated Plan and Program Year 2026 Annual Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to share feedback on community needs, funding priorities, and eligible activities that support low- and moderate-income residents. A public input meeting will be held on April 22, 2026, and comments will be accepted through April 29, 2026.
