Growing Tropical Fruits Workshop

A workshop focused on growing your own mango and avocado, called “Growing Fantastic Tropical Fruits,” will be held Saturday, May 2, from 1-4 p.m. at Centennial Park Recreation Center, located at 1120 Centennial Blvd., in Port Charlotte.
Marine Advisory - South Gulf Cove Lock Opening April 2-6

To help raise water levels in the canal system, the South Gulf Cove lock will be opened from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., starting Thursday, April 2 through Saturday, April 4 and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 5 through Monday, April 6 to allow water flow. These times may vary depending on the tides.
