Parks Safety Following the Storm

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Aug. 5, 2024) – Charlotte County parks have experienced impacts of Hurricane Debby. Park patrons should take these precautions:

  • Be aware of falling tree limbs and debris.
  • Many trails are still under water and may be very slick when water recedes.
  • Displaced wildlife may be encountered. Respect boundaries. Do not attempt to pick up or rescue wildlife. Call Natural Resources at 941-613-3220 or Animal Control at 941-833-5690.
