Planting and Caring for Your Young Citrus Class

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (April 11, 2025) Receive a citrus tree while attending a “Planting and Caring for your Young Citrus.” class. UF/IFAS Extension Charlotte County will be presenting a class on “Planting and Caring for your Young Citrus” on Wednesday, April 23 from 2-4 p.m. at the Port Charlotte Public Library located at 2280 Aaron St. In Port Charlotte. Residents can grow and enjoy citrus with a variety called "Sugar Belle. This variety is tolerant to the disease, citrus greening, that has affected so many older citrus trees in Florida. 

Attendees will receive a "Sugar Belle" citrus tree and an individual protective cover called an IPC. The $55 registration fee includes the class material, "Sugar Belle" tree and IPC. Save over half off the retail costs.
