Disaster Recovery Site - Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Park

This page is a Disaster Recovery Site of multiple projects related to Storm Damages.

Project Description

The site sustained widespread damage to recreational, waterfront, and park facilities. Small boardwalks and boardwalk/piers (100 sq. ft. each) require full replacement, along with a 300 sq. ft. boarding pier, timber ramp and floating dock (100 sq. ft. × 9.79), and an 800 sq. ft. marginal dock, all with damages to support poles, safety rails, and gates. Restrooms suffered severe damage, and a pavilion kiosk roof was impacted. Erosion affected the seawall (600 linear feet) and seawall caps, with nine caps missing, while storm surges eroded approximately 20 cubic yards of fill along the waters’ edge. The ADA canoe/kayak launch requires replacement, and playgrounds need full assessment, including damaged borders. Additional impacts include parking lot lighting, water fountains, damaged or missing signage (entry, interpretive, and rule signs), trash/recycling containers, dumpster enclosures, irrigation systems, drainage grates, six loose or missing bollards, and picnic tables.
