CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Feb. 20, 2025) – UF/IFAS Extension Charlotte County will be hosting an Edible Landscape Symposium at Centennial Park Recreation Center, located at 1120 Centennial Blvd. Port Charlotte from 8:30 am to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, March 15.
Edible landscaping incorporates edible plants in your landscape. Imagine having fruit and vegetables growing in your yard. The symposium will feature Dr. Jody Luna as our keynote speaker with her talk on food scaping. There will be breakout classes on different edibles to consider, growing oranges, lemons, and limes in your backyard, hydroponic and container gardening, square foot gardening, growing amazing avocados, and growing magnificent mangos.
