CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Nov. 12, 2024) –Charlotte County Community Services is hosting the MLB Pitch, Hit & Run from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14 at Harold Avenue Regional Park baseball fields located at 23400 Harold Ave., Port Charlotte, FL, 33980.
Pitch, Hit and Run is an event where children ages 7 to 14 compete in three categories including pitching at a target, hitting off a tee and a timed run from home plate to first base.
The participants are separated by age group and based on scores, the winners can advance from the local competition to a team championship and then to the finals which is held in conjunction with Game 2 of the World Series. Participants in the finals receive an all-expenses paid trip to the city which hosts Game 2 of the 2025 World Series.
