Charlotte County Libraries & History will participate in Suncoast Remake Learning Days, an innovative learning festival for families and youth April 19-May 3.
This year’s Suncoast Remake Learning Days events in Charlotte County include:
Art for All Ages at Port Charlotte Public Library 2 – 4 p.m., Saturday, April 19.
Join us for our 4th annual Art for All Ages program as we celebrate art in its various forms including painting, instrument play, embroidery, paper crafts, and more. We’ll have free, hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy inside and outside. Dress for a mess and come meet local artists and hobbyists, make unique crafts, and discover new ways to express your creative self.
World Book Day Read-a-Thon at Punta Gorda Charlotte Library 6 – 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 22.
Let's celebrate our love of reading with an evening of sharing our favorite books. Join us for read alouds and silent reading, relaxing music, snacks, and the opportunity to try your hand at writing your own story. We feel the need for reading.
Storybook Read-A-Thon at Englewood Charlotte Library 4-5:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 22.
Come dressed as your favorite storybook character, read a favorite book or try a new one, and enjoy a themed snack, craft, and more.
Here Come the Grannies 2! at Punta Gorda Charlotte Library 11 a.m-12:30 p.m., Saturday, April 26.
Back by popular demand. Swing by the library to celebrate your favorite Australian Heelers and their friends for a morning of fun and shenanigans. Bring your own blanket, make your very own granny glasses, complete the character scavenger hunt, participate in some cheeky imaginative play, find all of the hidden long dogs, make some wackadoo crafts, and of course, play Keepy Uppy. It's fun for the whole family to enjoy.
