After serving in the Army, Varner returned home and built a life rooted in family, service and professional growth. The local finalists include Casey Kennedy of Bloom Academy, a finalist for Servant Leader of the Year; Cole Kelly of Punta Gorda Adventures, a finalist for Emerging Business of the Year; and Cameron and Logan Light of Amaze Games, also finalists for Emerging Business of the Year.
